1. Information we collect and its use
We collect the following types of information about you:
(a) Information you provide us directly
Simply PutIf you give us info about you, we will keep it and use it to provide our Service and make our service better.
We may ask for certain information such as a username, your first and last names, birthdate, phone number, profession and e-mail address when you register for a stck.me account, or if you correspond with us. We also collect any messages you send us through the Service, and may collect information you provide in Content you post to the Service (such as text and photos you upload to use in your stories or comments). We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Service to you, to correspond with you, and to address any issues you raise about the Service.
(b) Information we receive from third parties
Simply PutWhen you use our Service, third parties might give us some info about you, especially if you are signed into a third party account while using our Service. When you choose to link your social media account with our Service such as by logging in through Facebook or Gmail, your social media account provider (such as Google and Facebook) will give us some info about you such as your Facebook user identification number.
We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our websites or Service through a third-party connection or log-in, for example, through Facebook Connect, by “following,” “liking,” linking your account to the stck.me Service, etc., that third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to stck.me. This information could include, but is not limited to, the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Facebook UID), an access token necessary to access that service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the stck.me Service. You may also unlink your third party account from the Service by adjusting your settings on the third party service. If you unlink your third party account, we will no longer receive information collected about you in connection with that service.
(c) Information we collect from you automatically
Simply PutTo help us improve our service we keep info about how you use our service.
We will directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information (in respect of which, please see the paragraph on log file information below) that assists us in improving the Service. For more information on the analytics cookies we use and how to opt out of third parties collecting this information, please see our Cookies Policy.
(d) Cookies information and information taken from similar technologies
Simply PutWe will send cookies (not the yummy kind) to your web browser to help you use stck.me. If you would like to adjust your cookie settings, please consult your browser instructions. For more information on how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.
When you visit the Service, we will send cookies — small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets stck.me help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use the Service (e.g., the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on the Service), and allow us or our business partners to track your usage of the Service over time.
You can control or reset your cookies and similar technologies through your web browser, which will allow you to customise your cookie preferences and to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled. For more information on how we use cookies and other technologies and how you can control them, please read our Cookies Policy.
(e) Log file information
Simply PutWhenever you load a page from stck.me, your browser sends us info about itself and your interactions with our Service. That info gets stored on our servers.
Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access the Service. When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
(f) Clear gifs/web beacons information
Simply PutWe might do clever stuff with images in order to check how many people open our emails and visit our site.
When you use the Service, we may employ clear GIFs (also known as web beacons) which are used to anonymously track the online usage patterns of our Users. In addition, we may also use clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. This information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the Service.
(g) Device identifiers
Simply PutIn order to track how different people are using our Service we might store a unique ID on your mobile that helps us do that.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device (including but not limited to smart-phones or tablets), we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers,” such as a universally unique identifier (“UUID”). Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by stck.me. A device identifier may convey information to us about how you browse and use the Service. A device identifier may remain persistently on your device, to help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the Service. Some features of the Service may not function properly if use or availability of device identifiers is impaired or disabled. Device Identifiers used by stck.me include the Android Advertising ID and iOS Advertising Identifier.

This includes information about your visits to an advertiser's site or purchases you made from them, or information about your interests from a third-party service, which we might use to help show you ads. Learn more about the types of information advertisers or other third parties share with us.
(h) Location data
Simply PutWe’ll use your location to offer you a personalised service.

When you’re on stck.me, we use your activity—such as which stories you click on, collections you create, and any text that you add in a comment or description—along with information you provided when you first signed up and information from our partners and advertisers to make inferences about you and your preferences. For example, if you create a collection about bitcoin, we may infer you are a crypto currency enthusiast. We may also infer information about your education or professional experience based on your activity when you link your account to accounts you have with third parties like Facebook or Google.
2. How we use your information
Simply PutThese are the reasons that stck.me needs to use information about you.
We use the information we collect about you for the purposes set out above which we have described in more detail below:

We have a legitimate interest in delivering ads that are relevant, interesting and personal to you in order to generate revenue. To further these interests we use the information we collect to:
Decide which ads to show you. For example, if you show an interest in rustic travel stories on stck.me, we may show you ads for other outdoor products. We customize the ad content we show you by identifying your interests based on your onsite and offsite activities, as well as by using information we receive from ad partners or other third parties. Where we use cookies to identify your offsite interests, we’ll get your consent where we need to. Where ad partners or other third parties share information with us about you, we rely on the consent they already obtained.
Tell our ad partners how their stck.me ads are doing, and how to make them better. Some of this information is aggregated. For example, we would report to an advertiser that a certain percentage of people who viewed a promoted story went on to visit that advertiser's site. In other instances, this information isn’t aggregated. For example, we would let an advertiser know that a particular promoted story has been saved by certain people. To find out more about reporting on ads please visit the Help Center.
We have a legitimate interest in using information we collect to customize your stck.me experience based on your offsite behavior. For example, if you visit websites that specializes in kids clothing, we may suggest parenting stories to you. When we identify your interests based on your offsite behavior with cookies, we will obtain any consent that we may need. To find out more about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.
